Polarr Next redefines photo productivity by learning the unique editing styles of photographers more efficiently than any existing solution. Train your own AI by editing a few reference photos and watch the AI work its magic, editing your entire album with precision, right within your browser.

Last month, we released our 0.40 Open Beta version of Polarr Next. Since then, we’ve been hard at work implementing new features and enhancements, thanks to the feedback from our Open Beta customers. Take a look at all of the newest features and improvements on Polarr Next this month.

Pre-Trained AI Styles

Pre-Trained AI styles are pre-built presets inspired by unique editing styles. All Pre-Trained AI styles have been trained on a large database of photos consisting of different lighting scenarios to ensure that they are consistent and accurate.

We’ve released 6 Pre-Trained AI Styles in our new “Explore” section, making it easy for you to find an AI style that you love and instantly apply it to all your photos.

Grain Tool

You’ve asked for it and we’ve brought it! You are now able to add details to your images with our newest Grain tool which includes size and roughness control for incredible accuracy.

Brush Masks

For your more complex edits, we’ve added Brush Masks where you can isolate adjustments to specific parts of your image without affecting the rest. You can also combine or subtract brush masks with any other masks (i.e. background, subject, gradient).

Preset Strength Slider & Preset Preview

Similar to Lightroom, you can now use our Preset Strength Slider to adjust the strength of your presets from 0% to 200%. You can also preview your preset by hovering your mouse on the preset selector.

Histogram

We know that as professional photographers, you’d love to know whether your photo is underexposed, overexposed, and how much contrast it has. Histogram is now available on Polarr Next to give you complete control over mastering your exposure.

If you’re one to worry about the lack of tonal range in your images - you can also view Highlight and Shadow Clippings in our Histogram or by clicking (J) on your keyboard.

Undo/Redo

Whether you’ve made an editing mistake or experimenting with new adjustments, we’ve added an Undo and Redo button (and shortcuts) for your editing history!

History Preview

Easily look back and review your editing by hovering over the history entries to preview the changes you made in that specific step.

Auto Masking for Brush

Sometimes, you need to isolate a specific part of your image with Brush masks. We’ve added edge detection with our manual brush masks to help refine edges for a more accurate mask.

Brush and Pan

We’ve heard about the struggle to pan or zoom while brushing and we’ve solved this! You can now hold the space key when brushing to pan or zoom around the viewport.
